SaaS is Software as a Service.
Instead of customer paying an unique time for a software in a box, it pays for a service and the deliver of the software in a daily/monthly basis.
Opposite to Software House that deliver the software once and that’s it.
it is hard to sell a digital good, as the sound industry discovered.
Users will pirate their mp3 to listen to music.
The subscription means that you’re going to deliver value over time.
A subscription only makes sense if you keep delivering value over time.
A SaaS uses a subscription as a two way incentive to deliver value over time.
At Entria we started as a Software House development software for big companies like Natura and Gol.
Then we transitioned to Feedback House, our SaaS product.
SaaS has a Long Term incentive, as we need to keep improving our product to sales to more users and keep current users happy without churning.
