Research is when you look for a lot of related of something that you wanna understand more. (a topic, a problem, a solution, a book, a person).
When you are looking to solving a problem (a coding one), you first search for the existing solutions. As prebuilt packages that you can just install and keep using.
You also check books, blog posts to check how it works with pros/cons
Research happens before Writing.
You research to find prior art, and not reinvent something that already exist.
